International Summer camp
 Junior
Achievement Macedonia has so far offered three INTERNATIONAL SUMMER CAMPS on
Ohrid and Prespa Lake to the best and the brightest students from Macedonia
and abroad. Each year one hundred students altogether participated in a
two-week training and competition in the MESE program.
 Afternoons
and evenings were spent with friends, often beside the lake where we enjoyed
swimming, kayaking and beach volleyball. There was the usual basketball,
football and ping pong competitions, much dancing at the disco and several
special events which included a Mock New Year’s Eve Party (dress code:
pajamas), an excursion to Lake Ohrid and a Prespa lakeside campfire complete
with international songs, grilled sausage and soda pop.
 Our
international guests added a great deal to the experience. So far students
from Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Australia, Bulgaria, Albania, Hungary and
Serbia and Montenegro have taken part in our Camps. There was also a
wonderful opportunity for JA Macedonia students to meet many of them.
Friendships across borders were established and thåse relationships continue
to develop through the mails and Internet with promises for future exchanges
among JA camps.
We have begun planning our 2005 camp season and will notify other programs of
the dates for next summer sometime in May. We hope to share our beautiful
country of lakes and mountains with some new country representatives.
