Our Region

A study of state and regional economics, businesses and resources. The program examines the production and distribution of goods and services in a region and shows how resources are important to operating a business. Students learn about the flow of money through the economy and that businesses and industries are interdependent. They solve basic business problems in a regional economy.

Methodology

A combination of traditional theory with practical hands-on activities supported by software programs and the presence of a volunteer business consultant. Activities include: discussions, games, video projection, creative activities, tests, questionnaires, team work, role plays.
